Pokemon GO players worldwide were recently taken by surprise with a forced update for the game. There was also recent server downtime awhile ago, but we’ve yet to hear from Niantic about the details. Could the recent Pokemon GO update be readying the game for a new event later this month?
Players worldwide are reporting about the recent forced Pokemon GO update, but Niantic has yet to say anything about the matter. The latest we’ve heard from Niantic, was about the recent server issues that the game experienced.
However, the update was enforced in several regions prior to the server’s downtime. Many are speculating that Niantic is just readying the game for a new event happening later this month.
New Things Coming To The Game
The forced Pokemon GO update isn’t about fixing the recent server issues, and it’s likely that Niantic is readying the game for something. A datamine on the recent APK of the game reveals that there are a lot of things headed to Pokemon GO and players are more than excited for it.
First of all, new moves for Pokemon were included in the latest APK file. For quick moves; the game will be getting Counter, Iron tail, Fire Spin, Charge, Beam and many more. For charge moves, the new ones are Close, Night, Blast, Beam, Zap, Wild, Punch and many more.
Other discovered things in the APK are gender codes, Shiny Pokemon and Evolution Stones. The recent forced update could also possibly activate one of the items discovered in the recent datamine. Gender differences for Pikachu are already available in the game, so changes are definitely on the way.
Whatever the forced update is for, Niantic is possibly readying something big for the game. Hopefully, we get to hear about it soon.
